Official Plan
Front of Yonge Township Council adopted a new Official Plan in 2006. This planning document sets out general policies for land development, land division, and various land uses, and must address matters of Provincial Interest. These include Provincially significant wetlands and woodlands, as well as Areas of Natural and Scientific Interest. The Official Plan does not, by itself, control or regulate the development of land. Detailed control and regulation is implemented through the Zoning by-law.
